My name is Laura, and I’m currently living the life of the cash-poor, loan-rich grad student at the University of Texas at Austin, where I study advertising.
I’m also a freelance writer and a grammar ninja at heart.
I’ve lived in the Austin area for over 14 years, and graduated up the road from Southwestern University with a degree in communication studies.
I have a (reluctantly) deep reservoir of seemingly useless information, but am convinced I will one day be rewarded greatly for it on a pop culture edition of Jeopardy!
Things that make happy include story time with friends, trivia pub quizzes, mix CDs, breakfast tacos, scarves, and spontaneously (and un-rhythmically) dancing it out.
I also like to keep it classy with some vodka and a nice cheese.
